Cathy Baldacchini: Cape May MAC IT Manager Keeps Staff Connected

Cathy Baldacchini

(April 7, 2020) CAPE MAY — Cathy Baldacchini of Lower Township is Cape May MAC’s Information Technology Manager. She manages and maintains the organization’s computer hardware and software and problem-solves all variety of technological issues for an organization of 25 full-time and 125 part-time employees.

With the COVID-19 crisis temporarily stopping Cape May tours from April through mid-June, and staff working from home, Cathy has been as busy as usual, and more, helping to keep staff connected virtually.

“As soon as we understood that the new norm included the need to work from home I had to look at requirements to move from in-person meeting to video conferencing,” she said. “We were able to establish both a Zoom pro account for larger meeting needs as well as basic personal accounts for smaller one-on-one meeting to help everyone keep connected and keep business moving forward.”

“The ace in the hole for us was that more than four years ago MAC moved over to Microsoft giving staff the option to access email from home and on mobile devices with no need for additional equipment or software.”
