MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Operations & Special Projects
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing facilities maintenance for three separate properties, along with maintenance and care for six trolleys and three work vehicles.
Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
- Schedule Maintenance personnel.
- Implement Maintenance Projects identified by Director & CEO and Director of Operations & Special Projects
- Set up and prepare for Staff Trainings and Special Events (Including board meetings, craft shows, Scarecrow Alley, etc.)
- Train Maintenance staff.
- Order all maintenance supplies, track inventory and expenses, and promptly submit purchase orders.
- Order materials and all public and staff restroom supplies.
- Maintain Physick House Museum (not including housecleaning, which is outsourced).
- Maintain Physick Estate grounds (4 acres).
- Maintain Physick Estate outbuildings (8).
- Maintain Lighthouse and grounds.
- Maintain WWII Tower and property.
- Maintain Information Booth (Wash. St. Mall)
- Hire Maintenance staff.
- Manage staff of 2FTE and 3 PTEs.
- Work with other department directors on projects affecting them.
- Interface, schedule outsourced services – plumbing, heating, pest control, etc.
- Work with grounds crew volunteer team (supervised by current board member and/or Volunteer Engagement Coordinator)
Supervisory Responsibilities: The Maintenance Supervisor has supervisory responsibility for the Maintenance Department, including approximately 5-6 direct reports, as well as working with a team of supervised volunteers.

TROLLEY DRIVERS
(Part-time)
Job Responsibilities:
- Navigate historic Cape May with our guides & guests
- Assist guests in boarding and exiting the trolleys.
Minimum Requirements:
- CDL License
- Excellent driving record

(Part-time)
Job Responsibilities:
- Present Cape May tours to visitors & guests at the Emlen Physick Estate and on Cape May MAC’s fleet of trolleys
Minimum Requirements:
- Looking for personable and outgoing individuals
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good memorization skills preferred
- Experience in education or history preferred

WORLD WAR II TOWER OBSERVERS & LIGHTHOUSE KEEPERS
(Part-time)
Job Responsibilities:
- Share the maritime & military history of these important towers with Cape May’s visitors & guests
- Sell admission tickets using Cape May MAC’s point-of-sale systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Basic computer skills required
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Experience in education or history preferred
