COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING ASSISTANT
Part-time (30hrs./week) – Full-time advancement opportunities available.
This position will be part of the Outreach Division and report to the Chief Outreach Officer (COO) and to the Director of Media Relations (DMR). The Communications and Marketing Assistant will have both marketing and communications responsibilities as follows:
Job Responsibilities:
- Write and send weekly email blasts in Constant Contact.
- Assist with updating the website (WordPress).
- Manage Cape May MAC’s social media channels.
- Take promotional photos as assigned using Smartphone and edit for Social Media.
- Take promotional photos as assigned using DSLR equipment. Edit high resolution photos for various forms of publication.
- Manage Distribution of printed materials.
- Assist with annual online auction.
- Assist with proofing promotional materials.
- Draft press releases as assigned.
- Assist with Videography projects as assigned.
- Additional projects as assigned.
Basic skills required:
Excellent writing, grammar and proofreading skills, creativity. Knowledge of and experience with Word, Excel, Facebook, Instagram, WordPress, Constant Contact. Knowledge of or willingness to learn AP Style. Experience with Facebook and Instagram posting, content creation, stories, reels, and placing ads.
Additional skills preferred:
Excellent knowledge of AP Style. Knowledge of Meltwater, ALTRU, online auctions. Experience with use of professional camera equipment. Experience using photo editing software. Experience taking and editing photos for various forms of publication. General understanding of rights as they relate to photography and publication. Background in PR, media. Experience with videography: capturing footage, successful editing, competent file storage and rendering videos.

TROLLEY DRIVERS
(Part-time)
Job Responsibilities:
- Navigate historic Cape May with our guides & guests
- Assist guests in boarding and exiting the trolleys.
Minimum Requirements:
- CDL License
- Excellent driving record

Job Responsibilities:
- Present Cape May tours to visitors & guests at the Emlen Physick Estate and on Cape May MAC’s fleet of trolleys
Minimum Requirements:
- Looking for personable and outgoing individuals
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good memorization skills preferred
- Experience in education or history preferred

WORLD WAR II TOWER OBSERVERS & LIGHTHOUSE KEEPERS

Job Responsibilities:
- Share the maritime & military history of these important towers with Cape May’s visitors & guests
- Sell admission tickets using Cape May MAC’s point-of-sale systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Basic computer skills required
- Excellent verbal communication skills
